John O' Groats to Lands End Walk Sep to Nov 2002
How?

My initial plan was to travel on foot, carrying all I needed (not everything for the whole 1200+ mile walk but enough for a couple of days!), taking in as many long distance paths as possible and as many peaks as possible. This has now been watered down somewhat, primarily to meet the time scales I have available.

I will set out from Duncansby Head in September of 02, from there I shall travel slightly North (completely the wrong direction!) in order that I can take in Dunnet Head. From this point forwards I will travel in a Southerly direction, taking in some of the Scottish Hill Tracks, The West Highland Way, Pennine Way, MacMillan Way and the Southern Stretch of the South West Coast Peninsular Path. My route will include the most Northerly, Southerly, North Eastern and South Western Points.

My Original plan to do it with out support have also been adjusted. Whilst I will be alone and self supporting during the day I will be joined by my wife most evenings, apart from those where I choose to rough it and stay out all night.
